Hobbycutz challenge #5 : Mothersday

It is now time for the 5th challenge at Hobbycutz. We are sponsored by Floppy Latte Designs and I have used their Black Eyed Susan Corner image twice for my corners, I've colored them with my promarkers as usual. The wooden heart comes from Hobbycutz and the background is a cut from a brown paper bag, the bird and butterfly are from a Stampin' Up set and the woven material comes from the Lidl supermarket, it was initially sold as gardening stuff.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges: Nutcrafters (anything goes), Penny's paper crafty (anything goes), Simon Says Stamp (anything goes), Through the Craftroom Door (anything goes), Tuesday Throwdown (make your own background : mine is cut from a paper bag and stamped), It's All About The Vintage (for mother), Sassy Studio Designs (Mother's Day), Joanna Sheen (recycle : the paper bag as backgroupnd, the gardening stuff as "ribbon").

I have been quilling again!

It was not long ago that I showed you a card with quilled flowers on it. I really loved this technique so I made some more quilled embellishments. I don't know yet what I will make of them, but I quite like the embellies by themselves so I thought I'd just show them to you.

Hobbycutz challenge #4 : Monochrome!

It is time for a new Hobbycutz challenge! This time the theme is monochrome. I have used a Kenny K digital stamp that was provided to me since Kenny K is sponsoring the challenge this week. As ususal, my image is colored with promarkers. The wooden frame comes from Hobbycutz and is "painted" red using nail polish.
You'd better play along with us on this 4th challenge : we have several sponsors and the prizes are going to be great! Kenny K has 3 digi images for one lucky winner, Iva Nova Chest has a "real world" prize (see photo above: yellow for everyone!) for another winner and Hobbycutz has two £7.5 gift certificates for lucky winners as well as the usual £5 for one participant that uses Hobbycutz products. I say run, run, run! You don't always have such greatly prized challenges!
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges : Sarah Hurley (projects with character), Crafting For All Seasons (floral delight), Digistamps 4 Joy (anything goes with a digital stamp), Rhedd and Rosie (monochrome), Simon Says Stamp (April showers or spring flowers, I chose flowers), Color Me Creative (red), Crazy 4 Challenges (use a wooden accent : it doesn't really show through the nail polish, but the frame is made of wood), Passion For Promarker (cut out your images).

My very first quilling

I've just discovered quilling and I really enjoy making those rolled paper flowers! I've made this card using a stamp from Sweet November Stamps: a big big thank you to Amy Young, the designer of the stamp, whose blog candy I won. If you don't know her blog, A Thousand Sheets Of Paper, you really should go have a look: I just love her cards, it's not just self-promotion, she makes cards with stamps from different designers as well as her own stamps (which are just gorgeous, I own some of them as you can see by clicking on the label Sweet November Stamps in my right sidebar, but go on her blog for more!).
I would like to submit my card in the following challenges: Brown Sugar (spring), Crafty Catz (anything goes), 2 Sisters (anything goes), Allsorts (spring has sprung), DL.ART (spring), DRS Designs (paper flowers), Hanna and Friends (spring), My Heart Pieces (angels or fairies), All That Scraps (winged things), Crafting For All Seasons (floral delight), Crafts and Me (spring flowers), Crafty Creations (flowers or fairies), Flutter By Wednesday (flowers).
