Hobbycutz first challenge and blog hop

Premier challenge Hobbycutz : tout est permis ! / First Hobbycutz challenge : anything goes !
To my international readers and blog hoppers : please scroll down just a little bit for the english version, on the same post.
Bonjour!

Welcome to the Hobbycutz challenge launching blog hop!

Hope you like what I and my Fellow DT members have created and that we will inspire you all to come and take part in our challenges.

Here is what Kobie has to say:

I am Kobie and I am the Owner and Designer of Hobbycutz Lasercutting & Designs.

I  grew up in a Crafty family, with a very creative Gran, Mum and even Dad...he was always into woodworking....

I acquired a laser cutter early December last year after having my second child, which made it nearly impossible to return to work because of expensive child care, so I had to look for something I can do from home.

It was the biggest learning curve of my life and never really realised what I was getting myself into until the machine arrived.

But anyway not going to bore you with the rest, I am here and we will have to see what the future holds.....

So to celebrate the launch of this new adventure we are having a blog hop and you have 2 weeks to join in the fun and try and win some prizes.

I hope you arrived here from
If not please go back to the Hobbycutz challenge blog and start the Hop there as you need to collect a letter from each member.
The rules of the hop are as follow:
1. Leave a comment on each of the DT posts as you hop, this is a must to qualify for the prize.
2. Collect the letters from the DT's blog and email Kobie at
hobbycutz(at sign)gmail.com with the word they spell ( ps they are mixed up and not everyone has one)
3. Leave a comment on the Challenge blog letting us know which design from the hobbycutz website you like best
 4. Display our badge in your side bar to spread the word.
The winner of the hop will receive a £15 Voucher to spend on the hobbycutz website and two runner ups will receive each a £5.00 voucher to spend on the hobbycutz website.

Not only can you do the hop and win a prize .. but we also have First Challenge running which is
The prize for the overall challenge which will be picked by the Random thingy will be a £10 Voucher to spend on the hobbycutz website, and Kobie will also give away a £5.00 Voucher every challenge for a Random winner using a 'HOBBYCUTZ' product.

Thank You for taking time to visit my blog.
My Letter is C, after leaving me a comment please hop on to .....

As for the description of my card : the border and the big butterfly are wooden lasercuts from Hobbycutz. I painted them both with gold paint and I glued the butterfly on some Basic Grey paper (Granola collection). You might need a second look to see the small white butterfly on the bottom left of the golden one. That butterfly is quite discreet but it shows better in reality because it is 3D (the wings are lifted from the paper).
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges : Creative Crafts Challenge 2 (the sketch),  Simon Says Stamp (anything goes), Heck of a challenge (Spring/Butterflies and pearls - I chose to interpret the slash as an "or" and went for butterflies and pearls only...), Stampin with the Dragon (anything goes), CRAFT (use embossing), Delightful challenges (3's a charm: I used three stripes of embossed white paper), Basic Grey (anything goes, Basic Grey product used: Granola 6x6 paper pad under the wooden butterfly).

  16. Hello honey! You asked my image cutting - I use serrated scissors for the outside of the image and then a very sharp knife for the inside bits of the image (if that makes sense!)

I'm going to do a little tute on it soon so I'll let you know when it's up!
